I love watching and reading news from all over the world about different subjects. Today there is a variety of sources and subjects that you can choose, what you want to read. Most people watch the mainstream mass media channels of their country. I always liked the small guys that nobody pays attention to their news. There are some hidden gems around us, that you have to look really carefully and deeply, if you want to find them. Sometimes you will need to go underground, if you want to read stories, about real life!
Now about fake news! What are really fake news? Are they stories that are not true? Stories that somebody has been paid to publish? Are we spreading fake news by sharing them on social media? Some of these questions are really difficult to answer and we can speculate and debate for years to come!I read fake news in a daily basis, like most us and I do not know , if they are true facts or events, or exaggerated stories. Sometimes I have time to look further and compare these stories from other channels and decide, if they are true or not, or even look further into the content by doing some research! Unfortunately not everyone has the time or means to research stories and validate them.
Fake news it is a big business, for the ones that know, how to make it work and sometimes it is really difficult to tell the difference, between real and fakes news! Governments and private firms usually publish fake news, in order to mislead people from other important issues and events! They pay big publishers to do exactly that for lots of money! It is not always though about false stories, it is also about hiding, or not publishing the real events, so that people do not learn the truth!
People go about their day as robots, following their routine and pay little attention to what is happening around them. Brainwashing material has done this to most of us!We do not thing anymore! We do not question what we read, hear or see!
That is all I had to say today.Be SAFE!Be healthy!Be vigilant!
It is the 5th week of the lock down in the U.K and other countries around the world have their own restrictions. Some people think that after the 7th of May 2020 some of the lock down restrictions will be lifted, but some companies and people can not even wait until the 7/05/2020. They obviously care more about their companies and their profits, than the safety of their workers (employees) and the society ,that they live in. I am not an expert and I do not pretend to be. It is common knowledge though, that the lock down restrictions, are there for a reason and we all have to respect these decisions, that have been made by experts.
Life after the lock down will not be and should not be the same for anybody. We need to consider how we live o ur lives and make the necessary changes, adapt to the new society rules, so that we go on with our lives.
I have learnt a few lessons from this pandemic and I would like to share them with you. First of all:
Each of us is responsible for his life and other people's lives around him/her
We should not take things for granted around us, because anything can change really quickly and we always have to be prepared .
We can only rely on ourselves and be self sufficient, as much as we and be prepared for the worst case scenario.
Finally, everybody be safe and live your life, as best as you can, always keep in mind people around you!
As the countries start to leave the lock down conditions, factories and manufactures has to adapt to new working conditions because of the corona virus restrictions. We already know that certain food production factories and car manufactures care only about their production and profits and will not make a big effort , in order to protect their employees.
For the factories who do care about the health and safety of the employees and their reputation, as well as their productions, I have the following suggestions to make, which they follow common sense rules:
Temperature checks for all at the beginning of the shift and anybody who has a temperature, should be sent back home and asked to be tested. Unfortunately this measure does not cover the asymptomatic carriers of the virus.
On the factory floor, their should be only small number of employees (The minimum required for the production). They should all wear appropriate PPE( One use gloves, masks and aprons, if it is necessary) and keep a safe distance from each other. Employees should all have access to sanitiser, soap and water facilities and use them regularly.
During the coffee or lunch breaks, at the dedicated area, their should be enough space between the employees , so they can safely have their break.
I am not an expert and I do not pretend to be , but I think that the above advise is useful.
Everyone stay healthy and enjoy life!
Humans have managed to adapt throughout our history, in order to survive. We are sociable creatures and enjoy friendship and partnership. How are we going to adapt now with the corona virus threat?
For some of us a drink to the pub, a walk around the park with our friends , a day on the beach with our mates having a few drinks, mass travel holidays abroad, are all essential! But is it our fun and entertainment more important than our lives and the lives of our loved ones? The 2 meter rule (6 feet) is there for a reason and scientists know facts, that we do not know. Respect the rule and save lives, maybe even save your own life!
Some people think that corona virus will eventually go away and everything will go back to normal, just like nothing happened! I am not an expert and I do not know, how long this virus will last.
All I know is that it has affected our lives and our lifestyle and where it came from, more could come and we need to adapt and be prepared. Life will never be "normal " again! We need to learn our lessons from this virus and forget that human lives have been lost and more are dying as I am writing this blog. So lets not be selfish for a change and think about the common good, be an active member of our society, change what needs to be changed and adapt for the greater good!
